Fiction Film Production Specialization

This specialization is run jointly by the Department of English and the Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media (TISM), and is open to all sophomores with preference given to English and TISM majors. Bringing together film studies and production, this specialization tracks twenty students as a cohort through courses in film theory, history and production technique. In their senior year, students in this specialization enroll in a two-semester fiction film production course resulting in a short film. Because only twenty students are admitted to the program each year, the specialization is highly competitive and by application only.
