Jonathan W. Thurston Howl is a PhD student currently, with an MA in English from Middle Tennessee State University and a BA in English (minor in Japanese) from Vanderbilt University. His scholarly works have appeared in The Philologist, and he has presented at the John Milton Conference and the Children's Literature Association Conference, mostly on his studies in "zoohistoricism." He also has multiple creative works published through Red Ferret Press and Thurston Howl Publications. He is the editor-in-chief of a publishing house and a reporter for Michigan LGBT paper, Between the Lines.
