Kylene Cave is a PhD candidate in the English Department at Michigan State University. Her dissertation investigates the intersection between Post45 crime fiction and memory studies and the contributions of literary cognitive science in conceptualizing memory function within the genre. Kylene is also working on completing a certificate in digital humanities while working at MATRIX: The Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at Michigan State University on the Enslaved: People of the Historic Slave Trade Database.
