Muslim-American Literary Traditions

Leila Tarakji is a current PhD student in the Department of English at Michigan State University. Her research is committed towards the development of Muslim American literature studies and its role within a broader field of ethnic literary studies. Her most recent project considers how the tradition’s contemporary poetry records the transnational circuits that define Muslim American cultural memories and affective histories.
