Comic Books l 20th Century American Literature

Zack Kruse is currently a PhD student in 20th Century American Literature, and his research interests focus on comic books, their history, their production, and their long-term narrative development. He has additional research interests in cultural studies, genre fiction (particularly crime fiction and westerns), and the portrayal of violence in popular media. Currently, Zack is the panel coordinator for the Michigan State University Comics Forum, and he has been a long-time contributor to the comics community as a creator, convention organizer, retailer, and pundit.
